Shoebill Park on Bussi Island, Lake Victoria

Shoebill Park on Bussi Island : Bussi island is sarrounded by the water of lake victoria. On Bussi Island is where the Park Shoebill sits. Located in the south western park of Entebbe town, it also lies 2″49 North of the Equator.  Park shoebill is 8km away from Entebbe town, it can be accessed to by use of a speed boat (15mins) and a motorised canoe (40mins). It is neigbouring Entebbe international airport and while there, you can witness the aeroplanes landing.

Bussi island also harbours one of Uganda’s birding grounds called Mabamba Bay. Mabamba bay is a home of the shoebill bird and 280 other different species of birds like the marshbuck. Antelopes can also be sighted along the Mabamba swamp.The Mabamba bay is also protected by the government of Uganda.

Park shoebill is a home of mouth watering adventures. It has a collection of endless activities that check your physic. They include; Zip lining towards the lake, Ninja worrior, Zoeball,bird watching, private camping, nature walks, sport fishing, Quad biking and high rope courses.
