This 9 Days Kenya Photographic safari in Kenya is specially designed for photographers, this photography package takes you to Kenya’s finest wildlife areas, the Laikipia and the Masai Mara ecosystems.
The safari time spent in two exclusive wildlife conservancies; Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Laikipia and Olare Motorogi Conservancy in the Mara with the opportunity to visit the main Masai Mara National Reserve. It also includes a night in Nairobi on the day of arrive.
This Kenya photographic safari of 9 Days offers a great opportunity to view and photograph Africa’s iconic animals including the Big Five – elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes and rhinos. This safari is designed for photographers interested in taking photographs.
The Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a 364 sq km wildlife conservancy situated between the foothills of Mount Kenya and the Aberdares and it is ranked among the top Kenyan park and reserves. The conservancy is home to over 1000 large mammals and is the only protected area in Kenya where the Big 5 and Chimpanzees can be seen. It is also where the fastest growing population of rhinos in Africa, there are southern white rhino, about 80 endangered black rhinos and in a special sanctuary there are two of the world’s remaining northern white rhino.
The Mara Conservancies host the highest density of free-roaming lions in Africa, as well as leopards, cheetahs, elephants and much more. The conservancies are formed from community lands, ensuring the locals benefit from tourism and leasing of their land as well as the opportunities that arise from setting up these conservancies and safari lodes.

Detailed itinerary of 9 Days Kenya Photographic Safari
Day 1 – Arrival into Kenya
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our safari representative (your safari driver guide) who will welcome you to Kenya and transfer you to your hotel in Nairobi. Spend the rest of the day resting as you prepare for the adventure the following day.

Day 2; 3 & 4 – Photographic Safari
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, and check-in for your scheduled flight to Laikipa departing 10h20 arriving 11h20. Upon landing, you will meet our guide and transfer you to your new home in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy where you will stay for the next three nights.
During your stay at the camp, your guide will give some tips on photography, enjoy lunch and afternoon tea in camp and then in the afternoon, take an afternoon and evening game drive including sundowner returning to the amp for dinner and overnight.
On these three days, you will wake up at dawn for an early game drive in the conservancy, return to the camp for late breakfast, or some days enjoying close photography of the wildlife from the photographic hide at the camp. You also have the option of taking escorted nature walks in the conservancy, picnics and photographing the majestic Rhino close up within Ol Pejeta’s endangered species enclosure, night game drives as you head back to camp offers a chance to see the nocturnal animals.

Day 5, 6; 7 & 8 – Photographic Safari
On the 5th day of your photographic safari, you will enjoy a final early wildlife and photography drive in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. At approximately 09h05 depart from Kamok airstrip for the world famous Masai Mar. Land at Olare Motorogi airstrip at about 11h00 and be transferred to your camp, which will be your place of stay for the next 4 nights.
Game drives and walks will be done in the conservancy and the main Masai Mara reserve to photograph the wildlife. You will also do night game drives in the private conservancies.
Optional Balloon Safari are available for a chance to take some stunning aerial shots of the Mara Eco-system.
Day 9 – Departure
Have a final early morning game drive followed by breakfast at camp and then transfer to the airstrip to fly back on the 11h00 flight to Wilson Airport in Nairobi, arriving at around 12h20. Meet your driver-guide and transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your hotel in Nairobi, depending on your departure flight schedule.
