8 days Tarangire, Manyara and Serengeti park safari is a long Tanzania safari taking you an adventure in the Northern Tanzania Safari circuit hosting some of the popular and classic wildlife destination in East Africa as well as Tanzania.

On this safari you will have an opportunity to explore wildlife in Tarangire national park, Lake Manyara national park and Serengeti national park, these wildlife destinations are a home to a variety of wildlife including the big Five – lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, rhinos and elephants. Detailed itinerary of 8 days Tarangire, Manyara and Serengeti park safari

Day 1: arrival and transfer to Arusha

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by you safari driver guide – a representative of Petnah Africa Tours and Travel, he will give you a short safari briefing and what to expect and then proceed to ARUSHA City. Check in at the hotel and spend the evening relaxing or reading a book as you prepare for the next day’s adventure. Later you will have dinner and the night.

Day 2: transfer to Tarangire national park

After breakfast, you will checkout out of your lodge and transfer to Tarangire national park which is approximately 2-3 hours drive away, when you arrive in the park you will welcomed by magnificent views of the Giant Baobab trees dominating the landscape with a combination of savannah and seasonal marshes. With en-route game drive you will head to your lodge for lunch after checking in, in the afternoon you will return to the plains of the park for an afternoon game drive. on the game drive, expect to see predators such as lions, leopards and rare cheetahs, large herds of elephants, wildebeests, hartebeests, elands, warthogs among others. In the evening you will exit the park and had back to your lodge and overnight.

Tarangire national park is considered as one of the best places in Tanzania and Africa as well to see elephants up close and predators such as lions and predators.

Day 3: full day game drive in Tarangire national park

Have early breakfast and with packed lunch you will head to Tarangire national park for a full day game drive, on this full day in the park you will have  chance to explore almost every corner of the park from the comfort of a 4×4 wheel vehicle on morning and afternoon game drives.

During the game drives you will enjoy watching the magnificent sceneries of the landscape dominated by the gigantic Baobab trees and a lot of animals living in the park as they graze, some of the animals of the animals to lookout for include large herds of elephants which can easily be seen on the banks of Tarangire river digging in the mud for streams of water. Other animals to lookout for include lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, cheetahs that are rarely seen among others.

You will have picnic lunch and then go for another game drive exploring the park more which absorbing yourself in the nature. In the evening you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4:  transfer to Lake Manyara national park

After breakfast you will transfer from Tarangire national park to Lake Manyara national park, the park is a great Tanzania safari destination with a large area covered by the alkaline Lake Manyara and is famous for hosting the rare tree climbing lions. Lake Manyara is a seasonal breeding ground for large colonies of flamingoes and water fowls.

When you arrive in the park, you will go for en-route game drive as you head to the lodge for lunch which you will have after checking in. later go for an afternoon game drive enjoying sights of the park’s landscape and various animals such as giraffes, tree climbing lions, hippos, wildebeests, impalas, monkeys, baboons among others.  Later head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight,

Day 5:  full day in Lake Manyara national park

Have early breakfast and head to the plains of Lake Manyara national park for a morning game drive offering a great opportunity to spot early risers and predators before they are forced into hiding by sun, you will be able to see many animals such as the tree climbing lions, leopards, wildebeests, cape buffaloes and elephants among others.

The game drive will last for about 3-4 hours, and then return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon you will return to the park for more adventure. During the afternoon game drive, you will visit the beautiful Lake Manyara where you will spot the pink flamingoes, black herons, martial eagles and other bird species.  After the sunset, you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: transfer to Serengeti national park

After breakfast, you will checkout of your lodge and transfer to Serengeti national park the most popular safari destination in Tanzania via the cooler highland as you had to the southern Serengeti, you will reach the plains of Serengeti national park in midday and with en-route game drive you will head to your lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will go for a game drive in the endless plains of Serengeti searching for animals such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, African wild dogs, gazelles, wildebeests, elands, cape buffaloes, Maasai giraffes among others.  Later in the evening, you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Serengeti national park is the largest national park in Tanzania with a diversity of habitats and landscapes including short grass plains, savannah, thick bush, swamps, lakes and bizarre rock formations “the Kopjes”, the kopjes are dot the grassy landscapes where predators are often seen. Serengeti national park is also famous for the annual great wildebeest migration, in this migration millions of wildebeests accompanied by hundred thousands of zebras and gazelles move through the plains of Serengeti searching for fresh grass and water.

Day 7: Hot air balloon and afternoon game drive in Serengeti national park

Wake up early for a cup of coffee  and head to starting point for Hot air Balloon ride as early as 05 am, with fellow visitors you will gather, be briefed about the dos and don’ts by a hot air balloon guide and enjoy watching the balloon being inflated. Climb into the basket and set off into the sky above the plains of Serengeti national park, you will enjoy the splendid sunset s a hue of orange, yellow and red fill the sky. You will also enjoy aerial views of the endless plains of Serengeti and animals inhabiting in the park.

At the end of the experience, you will have champagne bush breakfast in the wilderness of Serengeti, and then go for a game drive, at lunch you will head to your lodge to enjoy the meals. In the afternoon you will return to the park for another game drive exploring the park more. Later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: departure

Have a leisurely breakfast, checkout of your lodge and with en-route game drive. You will exit the park and transfer back to Arusha, you will be dropped off at the airport or hotel of your choice.
