TOUR SUMMARY
This tour will take you around the different parts of Uganda where you will get to see the big five, other animal species, carry out chimpanzee tracking and gorilla tracking. The national parks that you will tour in this Uganda primate safari include Kibale Forest National Park for the Chimpanzee tracking, Queen Elizabeth National Park for spotting of the big five as well as other animals such as the warthogs, the Uganda kob, water bucks, cheetahs and different types of bird species and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for gorilla tracking.
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking- Kibale Forest.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth N.P .
Day 4: Morning game drive and afternoon launch cruise
Day 5: Visit Ishasha sector and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Park.
Day 6: Gorilla tracking
Day 7: Transfer back to Kampala

Day 1: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Our guide will pick you up from your place of stay and commence on a journey to one of Uganda’s largest parks commonly known for Chimpanzees as well as other animal species. Kibale Forest National Park is called Uganda’s ‘’Switzerland’’ because of the nature of the evergreen montane rainforest that is surrounding it.
The park consists of 13 primate species, 50 mammal species and 9 diurnal primates. The primates include the Red colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s, vervet, red tailed and blue tailed monkeys, the black and white colobus and chimpanzees.
Other animals in the park include the Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Buffalos, Hippos, Warthogs, bush pigs, sitatungas amongst others. The park also consists of 335 bird species all of which you will get to witness physically.
You will stop over for lunch in Fortportal town and also stretch your legs. Arrive at the lodge for an evening’s rest and dinner.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking- Kibale Forest
Our driver guide will pick you up from the hotel very early in the morning with packed breakfast. After, you will start your exciting journey in the forest in search of the Chimpanzees. Along the way, you will get to spot different vegetation such as the medium altitude moist semi deciduous forests. Chimpanzee tracking will take 3hours where you will get to interact with different chimpanzee species for the entire day. You will also get lots of opportunities to take photographs with the Chimpanzees.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth N.P
Today after your breakfast, you will set off to one of Uganda’s largest parks, Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey takes approximately two hours and you will arrive mid morning in Kasese town. Head for a brief game drive through the park after which you will check in to your hotel for lunch and relax for the rest of the day.

Day 4: Morning game drive and afternoon launch cruise
Have your breakfast very early in the morning after which you will head out for an exciting game drive. You will get to spot different wild game such as the elephants, Uganda kob, warthog, hippos and if you’re lucky, the king of the jungle!!!! Head back to the lodge for lunch after which you will set off for a boat cruise along Kazinga channel which joins Lake Edward and George respectively. You will get a chance to view more animals like the hippos as well as various bird species. Later after the cruise, head to the lodge for dinner and have an evening’s rest.

Day 5: Visit Ishasha sector and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Park.
After an early morning breakfast, head out to Ishasha sector, also part of Queen Elizabeth park but commonly known for its tree climbing Lions. These are very exciting to watch as they are not your ordinary type of Lions. You will also sight different bird species in the park apart from the Lions.
After, you will commence on a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National park, a journey that takes approximately 4 hours drive to get there. On arrival, check in to your lodge and relax for the rest of the evening.

Day 6: Gorilla tracking
Today early in the morning with packed breakfast, you will set off to the park’s headquarters where you will be briefed alongside other tourists on how to interact with the gorillas while in close contact with them. You will then set off to the forest in search of the gorillas. This can take approximately 2-8 hours depending on how the gorillas avail themselves but the search is worth it and you are given one hour to interact with the gorillas.

Day 7: Transfer back to Kampala
After your breakfast, you will head back to Kampala and this will mark the end of our amazing trip. The journey is approximately 8hours and you will have a stopover in Mbarara town for a break and commence your journey afterwards. You will also pass through Lukaya centre in Masaka district where you will have the chance to buy some souvenirs like drums, hats, craft shoes and much more. The last stop will be at the Equator where you will take some pictures and get some knowledge about it.
