Trip overview

 These 6 Days Uganda gorilla and wildlife will unveil to you the wonders of Bwindi- Gorilla tracking, Lake Bunyonyi which is located in South-western Uganda between Kabale and Kisoro, Queen Elizabeth national park among others. Lake Bunyonyi is said to be the second deepest lake in East Africa after Lake Tanganyika.

A variety of activities like cultural tour to the Batwa communities , boat cruise through the 29 islands of the lake Bunyonyi and hiking, Game drives, boat cruise on the stunning Kazinga channel, together with visiting the hot springs &not forgetting the professional photography at each and every point to capture all those lasting memories

Trip summary

Gorilla tracking experience which is one of the popular tourist activities where you get a chance to trek one of the habituated gorilla families. You get a chance to trek into the dense rain forest on the mountain slopes. The journey through dense greenery and up steep climbs is abundantly rewarded with the lifetime experience of viewing mountain gorillas in their natural habitat.

Not forgetting the mind-blowing tourism photography sessions throughout the whole trip where we shall be capturing all the moments and the stunning views of Lake Bunyonyi

A serene boat cruise at the Kazinga Chanel; known for having the highest concentration of hippos in Uganda. Here you will get to see a number of other animal species while viewing the wondrous sceneries for a beautiful to experience

Batwa community experience offers a glimpse into this marginalized community’s historical lifestyles perspective of village life showcasing cultural norms.

Day 1: Pick up from the airport.

On arrival, our driver will pick you up for your transfer at the hotel.

Accommodation: Fairway hotel (Midrange) Kampala Serena hotel (Luxury)

Meal plan: Bed and Breakfast.

Day 2 – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You will be picked up around 7:00 am from your Hotel in Kampala (or Entebbe) by our Guide who will brief you about your tour. You will later be driven in a comfortable and a secure 4×4 wheel Land cruiser to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the South-West which will take around 9 hours of drive. Lunch will be provided enroute at Mbarara. You will be reaching in the evening at the accommodation in Bwindi.

Accommodation: Ichumbi hotel / four gorillas lodge

Meal plan: Full board basis (breakfast, lunch & dinner)

Day 3 – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Gorilla Tacking) transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

You will have an early morning breakfast at 6:30 am and with packed Lunch you will move to the park headquarters to join other trackers in a briefing about the gorilla trekking rules at 7:30 am. You will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the Gorillas, which can take you 1-8 hours. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access by tourists. You will stay with Gorillas sometime once sited and later you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for overnight stay.

Day 4: Boat Cruise, cultural tour & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park

After a delicious breakfast, you will start of your day with boat cruise here head for the Batwa cultural experience. Here you will get a close encounter with the Batwa where you get to experience their way of living while you enjoy   professional photography to capture those lasting wonderful memories. You will head back to your hotel for lunch and refreshments after then transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

Meal plan: Full board basis (breakfast, lunch & dinner)

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth national park- Experiential game drive

Early morning breakfast, then you shall go for an experiential game drive  which is also known as lion tracking i.e  Lions with radio collars are tracked where most animals will be sighted which is an added advantage you will spot the ‘’mighty lion ‘and then later transfer to the back to the lodge for lunch and also rest. Optional activity – boat cruise in the afternoon

Meal plan: Full board basis (breakfast, lunch & dinner)

Day 6: Transfer back to Kampala for your flight

Depending on the time of your departure flight, you will have breakfast, meet your guide and be driven to Entebbe International airport for your flight back home. This marks the end of this 6 days Uganda safari.
