DETAILED ITINERARY OF MASAI MARA WILDEBEEST MIGRATION SAFARI
Day 1: Pick up in Nairobi drive to Masai Mara
After breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi or upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International airport, you meet your safari guide and after a short briefing about the safari you will embark on a journey of 5 hours to Masai Mara national reserve. Along the way you will have a stopover at the view point to enjoy spectacular views of the Rift Valley Escarpments, then proceed to the reserve in the afternoon time for lunch at your lodge after checking.
After enjoying your meals and relaxing, you will head to the Masai plains for game drive. In the evening you will head back your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full day game drives in Mara
After enjoying breakfast, you will head to the plains of Masai Mara with your packed lunch for a whole day of exploration, you will be involved in the morning and afternoon game drives in search for the big Five that is elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes among others. During the game drive you will head to Mara River in search for the migrating herds as they cross the river and face off with the fierce crocodiles.
Your lunch will be set along the banks of Mara River under a shady tree, then have another game drive exploring the plains more and spot more animals. After sunset, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 – 4: Full day game drive following the Migration
You will spend these two days exploring Masai Mara national reserve offering you high chances of witnessing large herds taking part in the Great Wildebeest Migration in search for green pastures and water in Mara ecosystem. In addition to seeing the large herds of wildebeests and thousands of zebras and gazelles, you will spot predators as they fall the herds.
You will have early breakfast and with your packed lunch you will head the plains of Masai Mara in search for the migrating herds, you will have picnic lunch set in one of the picnic sites in the reserve. After the sunset you will head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Masai Mara – Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, you bid farewell to Masai Mara national reserve and drive to Lake Naivasha – a birder’s paradise where you will arrive in time for lunch which you will have after checking in.
Lake Naivasha is a fresh water lake and a great birding Paradise with over 400 bird species including a huge concertation of pink flamingoes and animals such as hippos, giraffes, buffalo and arboreal Colobus monkeys. In the afternoon you will have a boat ride to Crescent Island found in the lake, the island hosts various animals such as zebras, impalas, wildebeests, elands, giraffes among others which you will spot during the visit. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Lake Naivasha – Drive to Nairobi departure
