Detailed Itinerary of 5 Days Tanzania luxury safaris

Day 1: Transfer to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast or upon arrival you will be picked by our safari driver guide (a representative of Petnah Tours & Travel), after a warm welcome and a short briefing about the safari and what to expect. You will then transfer to Tarangire national park, from Arusha it is a drive of 3 hours to the park and you will arrive in the park in time for lunch at the lodge after checking in.

In the afternoon, you will go for an afternoon game drive searching and spotting many animals such as large herds of elephnats, Masai giraffes, cape buffaloes, lions, wildebeests, elands, zebras among others. Then return to your lodge, refresh, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Game Drive and   Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area

Have early breakfast and head to the park for a morning game drive starting as early as 06:00 am, on this game drive you will have a chance to see nocturnal animals such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, genets, bush babies, civets, black backed jackals, bat-eared fox, marsh mongoose, striped hyenas zorilla, spotted hyena, wild dogs, wild cats, caracal among others,

You will return to your lodge for lunch, then checkout and transfer to Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area which is a drive about 4 hours and along the way you will briefly pass through Lake Manyara national park, giving an opportunity to see several animals. Arrive in late in evening, check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: Game Drive and Afternoon Transfer to Serengeti National Park

After early breakfast, you will descend to the crater floor with packed lunch for a game drive, the crater hosts a variety of wildlife including lions, wildebeests, spotted hyenas, zebras, elands, antelopes, hippos, ostrich, several bird species among others. You will also visit Lake Magadi which hosts the pink flamingoes and other birds such as cormorants and herons among others.

 You will have picnic lunch set among the breathtaking views and wilderness of the crater, then you will exit the crater with en-route game drive and transfer to Serengeti national park reaching in the evening, check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4: All Day Game Drive in the Serengeti Golden Plains

Have early breakfast and head to the endless plains of Serengeti national park for full day game with your packed lunch, the full day game drive offers you ample time to visit several regions of the park and spot many animals such as lions, leopards, gazelles, elephants, cape bufflloes, Masai giraffes, wildebeests, hartebeests, topis, Thomson gazelles among others.

You will have picnic lunch set at the site around the hippo pool and the go for another game drive, in the evening you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Fly in a Hot Air Balloon over the Serengeti Golden Plains and Afternoon Transfer to Arusha

Have a cup of coffee served at 5 am, meet your driver guide and transfer to the starting point of the Hot air Balloon Experience, you will be briefed about the experience by the Hot Balloon guides about the dos and don’ts, meet other tourists and watch the balloons as they are being inflated.

You will then climb into the balloon’s basket and set off in the sky above the plains of Serengeti national park, this experience offers you aerial views of the endless plains of Serengeti national park and several animals such as elands, pride of lions, herds of elephants, wildebeests, zebras, topi, cheetahs, waterbuck, gazelle, crocodiles, hippos, warthogs, jackals, wild dogs, giraffes, impala among others and the magnificent sunset.

After the hot air balloon experience, you will have a bush champagne breakfast and then you will be awarded by Hot air Balloon certificate. With en-route game drive you will exit the transfer back to Arusha.

You will have lunch upon arrival and then you will be dropped off at the airport to catch your flight back home.
