Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a famous Tanzania destination and ranked the 8^th wonder of the world for hosting Ngorongoro crater the world’s largest intact caldera. There is abundance of wildlife hosted on the floor of the caldera including prides of lions, cheetahs, leopards among others which you should look out for during game drives.

Serengeti national park is the most famous national park in Tanzania famed for a huge population of wildlife and the annual wildebeest migration – the world’s largest movement of animals ever witnessed.

• Game drives/ game viewing – this is most popular and highlight of the 5 days Serengeti and Ngorongoro safari, on this activity you will explore both Serengeti national park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area in the comfort of a 4×4 wheel safari vehicle following several trails/ routes running through the parks. Game drives offers you a chance to see several animals such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, gazelles, wildebeests among others.
• Hot air balloon ride – this exciting and memorable safari activity offers you aerial views of Serengeti national park and its animals. Hot air balloon ride is perfect for taking great nature photography.

Detailed itinerary of 5 Days Serengeti and Ngorongoro safari

Day 1: pick up and transfer to Ngorongoro Crater drive

You will be picked from your hotel in Arusha at around 07:00 am after breakfast by your safari driver-guide (a representative of Petnah Africa Tours & Travel), he will brief you about the safari and later embark on a journey in a secure 4X4 wheel land cruiser to Ngorongoro Conservation Area – The 8^th Wonder of the world.

Ngorongoro conservation Area is popular for hosting Ngorongoro crater, the largest intact caldera in the world, along the journey you will enjoy vista of rolling hills, forest galleries and coffee plantations.

Arrive the park in the afternoon, check into your lodge, have lunch and later go for a game drive around the crater. You will enjoy watching several wildlife including lions, cheetahs, leopards, hartebeests, cape buffaloes, rhinos, gazelles, hyenas among others. The game drive will last till 06:00 pm (sunset), return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: transfer to Serengeti National Park

You will have an early breakfast and drive to the crater floor for game viewing experience, the crater floor is a home to abundance of wildlife which you will have a chance and enjoy watching. Some of the animals to lookout for include prides of lions, leopards, cheetahs, wildebeests, elands, African wild dogs and numerous species of birds including the pink flamingoes at the shores of Lake Magadi found in the crater floor.

Head back to your lodge for lunch, check out and transfer to Serengeti national park – one of the most famous wildlife safari destinations on the African continent and Tanzania as well. Serengeti national park is famously known The annual wildebeest migration and the Big Five that is lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos and elephants.

Arrive in the evening, check into your lodge and rest for the evening as you prepare for the next day’s adventure. Later have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3&4: Hot Air Balloon Ride, Full day in Serengeti National Park

You will spend the 3^rd and 4^th day of this safari exploring Serengeti national park while participating in full day game drives (morning and afternoon game drives) and Hot air balloon ride.

 0n the 3^rd day you will have early breakfast and be driven to the starting point for the hot air balloon ride where you will watch the balloon being filled, then climb in and take off at the brake of the dawn. While in the sky over the plains of Serengeti, you will enjoy the breathtaking sunrise and aerial views of the endless plains and animals such as lions, herds of wildebeests, zebras, and leopards among others. The hot air balloon lasts for 1 hour and is accompanied by champagne breakfast in the bush. Later you will go for a full day game drive.

On the 4^th day, you will have early breakfast and head to the park for a full day game drive with picnic lunch, you will have a chance to explore the rest of the park which you were unable to visit on the previous day. During the game drives, you will enjoy watching several animals such as elephants, impalas, elands, giraffes, hippos, waterbucks, wildebeests, lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos, cheetahs, hartebeests, topi, hyenas and many others as they graze and predators hunting for prey.

Your picnic lunch will be set at one of the picnic sites dotted around the park and go for another game drive. After the sunset, you will head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Departure
You will have early breakfast, checkout of your lodge and go for en-route game drive while exiting the park and transfer back to Arusha, on arrival in Arusha you will have lunch at the hotel and then be dropped off either at your own reserved hotel or at the airport for your departure flight.
