5 Days Congo gorilla and Nyiragongo hike safari : Gorilla trekking will be done in Virunga national park is one of the oldest wildlife protected area in Africa with unique wildlife species and rich in diverse eco system like block mountain, volcanic mountains like Nyiragongo Mountain where we will take you and get a chance get the stunning views of the beautiful active volcanoes.

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Kisoro

Early morning transfer from Kampala and on your way you will make a stop at the equator and then proceed to the Mbarara where we will make a stop and have lunch and then continue to Kisoro and spend an overnight.

Day 2: Transfer from Kisoro to Virunga national park

After breakfast transfer from Kisoro to Virunga national park where you will check in at the Grande barrier Virunga tourism office for the permits. In the after you will relax in preparation for the next day or do a nature walk which will be an optional activity.

Day 3: Gorilla tacking in Virunga

Early morning breakfast then transfer to Bukima ranger post for briefing and then start then trek though the trails till you locate the gorillas. You will start to follow the trails into the forest and trek for about 1 and a half hours or two hours until you see a family of the mountain gorillas.

You will be allowed to spend with the gorillas for 1 hour and then transfer back to the lodge where we shall have late lunch and then relax.

Day 4: Nyiragongo hike

After breakfast you will head to Kibati ranger post where you will be briefed before starting the hike. You will later start the hike which will take for around 6 hours or more depending on the speed and the fitness

Nyiragongo Mountain is found in Virunga national park and has a large strata volcano and it offers stunning views and its one of the world’s most beautiful active volcanoes. You will spend a night at the crater.

Day 5: Descend and transfer back to Kampala

Early morning descend back to the bottom and transfer back to Kampala on our way will make a stop in Kisoro for lunch and make another stop in Kayabwe for refreshments.

3. CANCELLATION POLICY

The following policies apply to all confirmed bookings made by the client;

1. Cancellations received within 30 -10 days’ notice to date of departure will incur 25 % charge
2. Cancellations received within 9-2 days’ notice to date of departure will incur 50% charge
3. Cancellations received within less than 48 hours to date of departure incur the full charge
4. No shows without communication over the whole safari period will be charged 100%
5. Cancellations of bookings in peak seasons (Christmas, New Year and Easter) received 60 days to date of departure will incur a cancellation charge of 100%
6. Cancellations must be advised in writing via email to the reservations or tours manager
