Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

On arrival at Zanzibar Airport, our representative will greet and drive you to the hotel in the Stone Town for check-in and refresh. You will spend the rest of the day at leisure and later you will be served a delicious dinner and have a restful sleep.

Day 2: Prison Island – Stone Town Tour

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, meet your driver and head to the Prison Island and Nakupenda Sandbank for a full day experience, Prison Island was formerly owned by an Arab and was privately used as a place of detention for disobedient slaves.

The Prison on the island was built as a central prison for Zanzibar in 1893 hence the name “Prison Island”, you will be able to see Giant Tortoises, Dikdik, Peacock, Prison Chamber, Mangrove Forest and swim and snorkel if interested. In the evening at around 4 pm, you will head back to Stone Town for a historic walking tour on which you will visit the Town Markets, Old Slave Markets, National Museum, Old German Consulate, High court building, Africa House (former English Club), Tippu Tip House and Grave, Kelekele square, Orphanage Home, Old Birtish Consulate, Old Fort, Forodhani Gardens, Sultan Palace, House of Wonders, Livingstone House, Joseph’s Cathedral, Old Mosques and Freddie Mercury House among others.

Dinner and overnight stay in Stone Town.

Day 3: Safari Blue Trip – The Highlight of Zanzibar

Have breakfast and leave Stone Town at 9 am to Fumba Village where our sailing boat will be awaiting to take you to Kwale Island for Safari Blue Trip – The highlight of Zanzibar.

You will sail in a beautiful traditional wooden dhow, witness countless colorful fishes, and watch Dolphins – if you have a chance of seeing them at play and snorkel over the reefs of Menai Bay Conservation Area.

During the tour, you will feast on a Swahili influenced seafood buffet that include Fish on coconut source, rice, fench fries, calamari, lobster, prawns, octopus and squids. Exotic fresh fruit tasting like Banana, watermelon, pineapple and mangoes. This will be the best adventurous day for your stay in Zanzibar Island and you will understand why it is called “Safari Blue”.

You will also visit a Baobab tree believed to be more than 500 years old before sailing back to Fumba Village, in the evening you will head back to the hotel or resort for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Free Day

Enjoy free time in the tropical paradise today, there are many ways you can spend your day. You can talk to your guide for any recommendations they might have.

You can go snorkeling of exotic fish, go scuba diving, parasailing, kite surfing or deep sea fishing. You may also like to feast on a sumptuous lunch of grilled local seafood or just relax in a hammock underneath a coconut tree with good book.

Day 5: Dolphin Tour, Spice Farm Tour – Airport

On this another adventurous day, you will depart from your hotel at 6 am and drive to Kizimkazi – southern coast village.

Board your motorized boat to find playful Doplhins out in the open waters, swim with them if you can or otherwise watch them from the boat. Kizimkazi is the most popular Dolphin spotting location where you can see both Bottle-Nosed and Humpback Dolphins. Around 9 am, head for a spice farm tour to experience the rare tropical spices and fruits that are grown in Zanzibar – hence the name spice island.

After the experience, depending on your flight schedule. You will be driven to the airport to catch your departure flight.
