3 Days Team Building Tour to lake Bunyonyi : This Tour takes you on memorable visit to Lake Bunyonyi located in South Western region of Uganda between Kisoro and Kabale districts, at 3, 000 feet Lake Bunyonyi is the second deepest lake in Africa. This lake is a great habitat for birds with about 200 species and it is from these birds that it gets its name “Bunyonyi” meaning “a place of Little birds”. Lake Bunyonyi has a total of 29 islands each with amazing legend behind it and they are best exploring on a boat ride.
On this tour you will take park in activities such as swimming, boat ride, visiting the local community and guided nature walks perfect for a team building experience.

Stopover at the equator in Kayabwe in Masaka– for a photo session at the equator line, do a water demonstration and buy locally hand-made craft pieces and African fabrics.
Visit the local community – the Batwa community – the pygmy forest people and Abaheesi Community of the black smith for a deeper inside in their local lifestyle.
Canoe ride – on Lake Bunyonyi exploring the island several islands found in the lake, during the boat ride the guide will narrate to you the legends behind each island. You will also encounter several birds inhabiting at these islands such as African Harrier Hawk, Malachite kingfishers, Pied kingfishers and Egrets among many other species
Swimming – in the Bilharzia free waters of Lake Bunyonyi, these waters are also free of crocodiles, hippos and snails.
DETAILED ITINERARY OF 3 DAYS TEAM BUILDING TO LAKE BUNYONYI
Day 1: Pickup from Entebbe or Kampala – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
To start your team building tour, you will be picked from your offices or preferred location in Kampala and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi on a journey of 7 hours. Along the way you will have stopovers along the way for pictures at the Equator crossing in Kayabwe where you will have a chance to step in both the southern and northern hemisphere and lunch in Mbarara, proceed to Kabale and finally to Lake Bunyonyi arriving in the afternoon.
After checking into your lodge, you will head to Lake Bunyonyi the second deepest lake in Africa for a walk along the shores. After enjoying the splendid scenery you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight, in the evening you will be entertained by local traditional dances and storytelling around a campfire.

Day 2: Visit the Local Communities, cave exploration, tour the Islands using a canoe, bird watching and sightseeing
Have breakfast and head out for a full day of fun and team bonding activities, in the morning you will be treated to melodic sounds of the birds inhabiting at the lake. Lake Bunyonyi is a home to a beautiful collection of birds such as African harrier, egrets, grey crowned cranes, hawks, herons, levillant cuckoo, Rufus breathed wryneck, weaver birds and the white tailed blue monad among many others. You will be able to spot these birds as you take a stroll along the shores of the lake, you will then head to the Batwa community – the pygmy forest people and Abaheesi Community of the black smith for an encounter for an interaction with these local people and learn more about their traditions and cultures.
The Batwa of Lake Bunyonyi live mostly in the Orugano Forest, Echuya Forest and neighboring forest areas, during your time with the batwa you will learn about how they survive in the forest, learn to make local fire and be entertained by local dances and drama. You might also visit the Bukora Cave, and then head to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
In the afternoon you will go for a boat ride taking you on a visit the beautiful Islands found in the lake, this activity will offer you magnificent views of the lake, rolling hills, terraces and surrounding areas. The Punishment Island is one of the amazing islands to visit, according to the local legend the Bakiga people living around the area used to abandon all girls who got pregnant before mirage. They were left on this island to die since of them couldn’t swim, most of these girls were eventually rescued by their men who were responsible for the pregnancy or bachelors who could not afford paying bride price required by their parents.
After the amazing experience, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Travel back to Kampala with a visit to the Igongo Cultural Centre and Buganda royal drum makers.
Wake up early for breakfast, checkout of the lodge and transfer to back to Kampala, along the journey you will have lunch in Mbarara at Igongo Cultural Center and proceed to Kampala.
When you arrive in Kampala, you will be dropped off at your offices or at preferred location.
