Game drives also referred to as game viewing is one of the most popular safari activities in Serengeti national park on which you a chance to explore the endless savannah plains of the park in the comfort of your safari vehicle with open windows and pop – up roof for easy viewing.

Game drives are done following several tracks running through the park and during this experience, you will enjoy spotting several animals calling the park home such as Lions, leopard, African Bush elephants, African buffalos, eastern black Rhinoceros, Thomson’s and grant’s gazelles, wildebeest, topis, water bucks, eland, striped hyenas, spotted hyenas, baboon, eastern African wild dog, impalas, masai giraffes and over 500 bird species.

DETAILED ITINERARY OF 3 DAYS SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK SAFARI

Day 1: Transfer from Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Our 3 days Serengeti safari starts with pick up from your hotel in Arusha Town or at the airport upon arrival by our safari driver – guide (representative) at exactly 07:00 am. Your drive – guide will give a short briefing about the safari then set off on a journey of approximately 355 kilometers to Serengeti national park – a world famous UNESCO World Heritage site, known for the annual Great migration. In the annual Great migration, over millions of wildebeests accompanied by zebras and Grant’s and Thomson gazelles embark on an annual movement around the Mara – Serengeti ecosystem following an old route known to them as animals.

Note: The Annual great migration in Serengeti national park occurs in the months of May, June, July, October, November and December.

You will arrival in Serengeti national park in time for lunch which you will have at your lodge after checking in, in the afternoon you will go for an afternoon game drive in rolling savannah plains of Serengeti. During the game drive you will enjoy seeing various animals including predators such as lions, cheetahs, African wild dogs, leopards and hyenas among others as they are hunting for their prey. You will have the game drive until sunset, then return to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: Have Full day game drive

You will have early breakfast and head to the park with packed lunch for a full day game drive, on morning and afternoon game drive. During the full day game drive you stand a great chance of exploring the plains of Serengeti to the fullest and spotting various species of wildlife inhabiting in the park such as lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, serval cats, wild dogs, black rhinos, topis, buffaloes, impalas and hyenas  among others.

You will have picnic lunch at one of the picnic sites dotted around the park, you will enjoy the meals and then go for another game drive till evening. Later head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: Transfer back to Arusha and Departure

You will have early breakfast, checkout of the lodge and go for an en-route game drive while exiting the park and transfer back to Arusha. Arrive in time for lunch which you will have at the hotel and the be dropped off at the airport for your departure flight back home or next adventure.
