10 Days Uganda gorilla and wildlife safari
This safari takes you to the different National parks where you will discover climatic changes, the different vegetation in the different national parks that we shall be able to tour such as the Murchison falls, Kibale forest, Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi Impenetrable, and Lake Mburo National Parks. The tour is highlighted by a number of different activities like Rhino tracking, Chimp tracking, Game drives, Gorilla trekking, Boat cruises among others.
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.
Day 2: Morning Game drive and the Nile Boat cruise.
Day 3: Transfer from Murchison Falls to Kibale Forest
Day 4: Kibale Forest- Morning Chimpanzee trekking.
Day 5: Game drive & Boat cruise -Queen Elizabeth.
Day 6: Forest Walk and Chimpanzee tracking.
Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Day 8: Gorilla tracking and Community walk.
Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.
Day 10: Return to Kampala
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Our driver guide will pick you up from your hotel or place of residence in Kampala to transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. You will drive through the North-west through the famous Luwero Triangle and Masindi Town, branch off for a visit to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for a guided Rhino walk and picnic lunch. You will then proceed to Murchison falls National Park with sightseeing en-route to your Lodge.

Day 2: Morning Game drive and the Nile Boat cruise
After your breakfast, your guide will help you spot Elephant, Lion, Cape buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyena through the morning game drive and if you are lucky, the mighty Lion. Return to the hotel for lunch. After lunch, go for a boat cruise upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just tens of meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron”. En-route, marvel at the toothsome hippos, crocodiles and over this 17 km stretch you may see elephants, waterbuck and the Uganda Kob. This is also a zone of many bird species like Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork. After the cruise, you will then proceed for a hike to the Top of the Falls (approx. 1 hour). See where the world’s longest river explodes violently through a narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43m below. Your driver/guide will be waiting for you to transfer you back to the lodge.

Day 3: Transfer from Murchison Falls to Kibale Forest
After an early morning breakfast, you will proceed to Kibale Forest National Park where you will take pleasure in the gorgeous scenery of this countryside which makes the journey more exciting. Have your lunch en route in Fortportal town and continue en-route as you have great views of the Rwenzori ranges. Check in at the hotel upon arrival. You could opt for a guided nature walk in Bigodi wetland which is home to various birds and primate species. Later have dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Kibale Forest- Morning Chimpanzee trekking
After your morning breakfast, you will then proceed with the guide to the park for Chimpanzee trekking. It is an amazing experience!!! Kibale forest National Park consists of around 13 primate species. While at the park, you will be able to see many types of monkeys like; the wonderful Red Columbus, Grey cheeked mangabey, Black and white Columbus monkey, L’hoest monkey and the amazing Chimpanzees. Here, you will experience our cousins today for one hour and the trip is a 3-4 hours walk through the tropical rain forest with an experienced guide. You can take a ton of photos but with your camera flash off. Later, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for more adventure.

Day 5: Game drive & Boat cruise -Queen Elizabeth
Wake up early, take breakfast then start with a game drive to Kasenyi plains. You are likely to see black and white colobus monkeys, bush bucks, Uganda Kob, topi, Defassa waterbuck, and Cape buffaloes. A collection of birds like Cassin’s grey flycatcher, broad billed roller, black bee-eater along the banks of Lake Edward. Return to lodge for lunch; then in afternoon go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel (2hrs) along Lake George-Lake Edward. This channel is a natural attraction for water birds while the Mweya peninsula serves as a migrant trap for Albertine Rift Endemics. On the banks of the channel you will spot bird species like the Great White & Pink-backed Pelicans, the African Open billed Stork, the Black Crake, Yellow-backed Weaver, the Great & Long-tailed Cormorants, the Common Squacco Heron, Malachite, the White-faced Whistling as well as Knob billed Ducks, Yellow-backed Weaver, the African Fish Eagle, Spur-winged & African Wattled Plovers, Water Thick Knee, Swamp Flycatcher as well as the African Jacana. Return to the hotel for dinner and have an evening’s rest.

Day 6: Forest Walk and Chimpanzee tracking
Breakfast in the morning and head for a guided forest walk in Maramagambo forest with the aim of seeing diverse birds species, python and bat caves. You will also track chimpanzees in the Kyambura gorge. Head back to the lodge for lunch as you prepare for an evening game drive through the park.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast, you will transfer Bwindi via the Ishasha sector with the chance to view tree-climbing lions in the wild. Bwindi National Park is home to over 346 bird species, 120 mammal species, 400 plant species, 27 frog species among others, covering an area of 331 sq km. Have lunch en route and continue with your journey combined with amazing and spectacular views of banana, tea plantations and the overall green vegetation of the area. On reaching the park, you will check in at the lodge, have dinner and relax for the rest of the evening.

Day 8: Gorilla tracking and Community walk
After breakfast, commence to the park head offices with your guide, have a briefing about the dos and don’ts while in the park with gorillas. After the briefing, head for gorilla trekking through the mist rain forest, trekking can take 2 hours or up to 6 hours based on the how lucky one gets to spot the gorillas. Make sure you carry packed lunch, enough water, sturdy shoes, non-flash cameras, rain jackets, walking sticks for those who are not so fit. Later return to the lodge and relax.
In the evening, go for a community walk where you will visit the Batwa, which is an indigenous group of people that has lived in the forest for many years, enjoy traditional dances from them. Head back to the lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, which is approximately a 6 to 7 hours drive. You will go through the outstanding scenery in Kabale which is a combination of terraced hills, forests, banana plantations among others. Have lunch in Mbarara and continue to Lake Mburo which is home to over 332 bird species. Home to a number of animals such as Zebras, impalas, warthogs, waterbucks, buffaloes reedbucks among others. Upon arrival, you will have a boat cruise on the lake where you get so see lots of wildlife like the birds, crocodiles, hippos, zebras among others. Have dinner and a night’s rest.

Day 10: Return to Kampala
After breakfast, we drive back to Kampala. We shall have a city tour to visit the local food and hand crafts markets, Kasubi tombs where they bury the kings from the Buganda kingdom with good stories about the monarchies in Uganda, and Gaddafi Mosque. We shall have lunch in Kampala.
