DETAILED INTINERARY OF 10 DAYS MASAI MARA WILDEBEEST MIGRATION AND UGANDA GORILLA SAFARI
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative (safari – driver guide), after finishing the Visa process you will transfer to your hotel in Nairobi for overnight and night stay.

Day 2: Drive to Masai Mara national reserve
After early morning breakfast, you will drive to Masai Mara national reserve a famous safari destination for African Big Five that is Rhinos, lions, leopards, Buffaloes and elephants. Along the way you will enjoy spectacular views of the Rift Valley at the view point, arrive in the reserve in the evening, check into your lodge for lunch and relaxation.
In the afternoon you will head to the reserve for an afternoon game drive, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 – 4: Full day game drives in Masai Mara national reserve following the Migration
In these two days you will have full day game drives following the large herds columns as they trek in to the Masai plains in search for green pastures and water.
With your packed lunch and enough drinks and head to the plains of Masai Mara before sunrise, during the drive you will have an opportunity to spot various animals such as zebras, giraffes, hyenas, lions, leopards among others.
You will head to Mara River where you will watch the herds crossing the river and facing off the predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs and African wild dogs along the banks of the river and crocodiles in Mara River.
You will have lunch at one of the picnic sites along the river under a shady tree, and go for another game drive. After sunset you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Drive to Lake Nakuru national park
After morning breakfast you will drive to Lake Nakuru national park a famous birder’s haven for pink flamingoes seen lining on the lake shores, you will arrive in the park in the after and with en-route game drive you will head to your lodge for lunch after check in.
In the afternoon, you will go for a game drive searching for various animals such as Black Rhino, White Rhino, and the Rothschild Giraffe. You will also spot various birds including rare species such as Lesser and Greater Flamingos, African fish Eagle, Tawny Eagle, Green Wood Hoopoes, Cliff Chat, Great White and Pink Backed Pelicans among others.

Day 6: Drive to Amboseli national park
After breakfast, you will embark on a journey to Amboseli national park – a home to large herds of elephant, along the way you will enjoy views of Athi plains. When you arrive in the park, you will be welcomed by the magnificent back of the snowcapped summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.
After lunch at your lodge, you will go for an afternoon game drive on which will spot animals such as elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes and the spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Drive to Nairobi and fly to Entebbe
Depending on the time of your connecting flight to Entebbe, you will depart Amboseli national park with en-route game drive back to Nairobi, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Entebbe International Airport in Uganda.
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our representative (safari- drive guide) and transfer you to your hotel in Kampala for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park
After an early morning breakfast, you will be picked up by your guide and after a short briefing about the safari you will embark on a journey to Bwindi impenetrable national park.
From Kampala to Bwindi, it is a drive of approximately 8-9 hours and along the way you will have a stopover at the Equator for pictures and have another stopover in Mbarara for lunch. Proceed to the park arriving in the evening, check into your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Full day gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi forest
After early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the park’s headquarters with your packed lunch for gorilla trekking, you will have briefing which is conducted by the rangers who will take you through the rules and regulations to follow which in the presence of the gorillas.
You will be grouped into 8 people, be assigned a gorilla family to trek and then head into the jungle of Bwindi looking for mountain gorillas, the trek is headed by rangers who know where to find the gorillas. The trek takes approximately 4-6 hours depending on the gorilla family you are trekking and where they spent the previous night.
When you locate the gorillas, you will view them for 1 hour while observing their behavior and beautiful self, you can take pictures as long as your flashlight is off. Return back to your lodge for relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 10: drive back to Entebbe and departure
After breakfast, you will checkout of your lodge and drive back to Entebbe, along the way you will have lunch in Mbarara and on arrival you will be dropped at the airport for your onward flight.
